At IU, we are looking for a Senior Salesforce Engineer (m/f/d) who combines deep technical expertise with a passion for crafting scalable, high-quality solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem. You will play a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced Salesforce solutions that drive our business forward. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse array of projects, from complex custom developments using Apex and Lightning to integrating Salesforce with external systems via APIs. Reporting to the Salesforce Engineering Manager, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of Salesforce platforms, object-oriented programming, and database management to deliver outstanding results.

• Design and implement pragmatic Salesforce solutions, utilizing Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other Salesforce technologies.

• Develop and maintain scalable and efficient code, adhering to best practices and design patterns within the Salesforce ecosystem.

• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into reliable Salesforce solutions.

• Integrate Salesforce with external systems and third-party applications using REST and SOAP APIs, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality across platforms.

• Customize Salesforce environments to fit unique business needs, leveraging custom objects, fields, formulas, workflows, and approval processes.

• Contribute to quality assurance processes, including writing and maintaining automated tests to ensure the reliability of solutions.

• Actively participate in team meetings, code reviews, and collaborative design sessions, sharing knowledge and best practices with team members.

• Stay informed about the latest Salesforce features, releases, and best practices, incorporating new technologies and methodologies to drive continuous improvement.

• Several years of hands-on experience with Salesforce development, including proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and experience with languages such as Java, C#, or similar.

• Experience with database management and proficiency in SOQL and SQL query languages.

• Familiarity with integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.

• Knowledge of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their application within the Salesforce ecosystem.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset and a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.

• Fluent in English with strong communication skills, capable of presenting technical information in a clear and concise manner.
